MICHAEL WILLIAMS

Managing Director

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Michael has been a driving force behind Aust Care Environmental Services since the company was established in 1999. Having progressed through a wide range of operational and leadership roles throughout his career, he now leads the business as Managing Director, bringing extensive practical knowledge and strategic leadership to all aspects of the company’s operations.

Michael’s career began in hands-on environmental field work, providing him with a strong understanding of on-ground project delivery and the challenges involved in managing natural areas and environmental infrastructure projects. Over the years, he advanced through roles including Team Leader, Business Development Manager, Operations Manager and Regional Management, building broad experience across environmental rehabilitation, vegetation management, civil environmental works and large-scale project coordination.

His practical background, combined with tertiary qualifications in environmental management, has given him a well-rounded understanding of both the operational and commercial aspects of the industry. Michael is recognised for delivering practical, outcome-focused solutions and for maintaining a strong commitment to quality, safety and long-term environmental outcomes across projects of all sizes.

As Managing Director, Michael continues to play an active role in project oversight, client relationships and business development while fostering a strong company culture built on professionalism, reliability and high standards. Respected by clients, stakeholders and staff alike, he is known for his approachable leadership style, strong industry knowledge and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of project delivery.

BROOKE STUDT

Ecological Restoration Manager

Since joining Aust Care Environmental Services in 2018, Brooke has grown into a key leadership role within the business and now oversees ecological restoration operations as Ecological Restoration Manager. Through years of hands-on field experience and ongoing professional development, she has developed extensive expertise in ecological restoration, natural area management and environmental project delivery.

Holding a Master of Environmental Management and a Bachelor of Sustainability, Brooke combines strong technical knowledge with practical on-ground experience to successfully manage a wide range of restoration and rehabilitation projects across South East Queensland. Her background includes bush regeneration, weed management, habitat restoration, fauna management and environmental compliance, supported by extensive industry training and certifications.

In addition to managing field operations and restoration crews, Brooke plays a critical role in the preparation of environmental reporting, including detailed flora and fauna assessments, site reporting and project documentation. Her ability to translate field observations and ecological data into clear, professional reports provides significant value to both clients and project stakeholders.

Known for her strong organisational skills, attention to detail and collaborative leadership style, Brooke is highly regarded by colleagues and clients alike. Her practical experience, technical capability and commitment to environmental best practice continue to contribute to the successful delivery of complex natural area and ecological restoration projects.

MICHAEL FERRICKS

Natural Areas Supervisor

Michael joined our team in February 2025, bringing more than 25 years of experience across ecological restoration, natural area maintenance, fire management, parks and wildlife operations, and environmental rehabilitation throughout South East Queensland.

His extensive background includes leadership roles in rehabilitation, natural area management, environmental restoration, and parks maintenance, with significant experience working across sensitive environmental and quarry sites. Michael has undertaken weed management, erosion and sediment control, creek and bio-basin rehabilitation, habitat creation, fire mitigation, and trail maintenance.

Throughout his career, Michael has demonstrated strong leadership, working autonomously and supervising teams across local, state and federal government projects, including Defence sites. His practical expertise is supported by a Certificate III in Conservation & Ecosystem Management, along with extensive experience in fire and rescue operations and GPS systems.

Michael’s broad field knowledge, hands-on approach, and commitment to environmental outcomes make him a highly valued member of our team.

DAN WHYTE

Natural Areas Civil Supervisor

Dan brings over 20 years of experience in earthmoving, civil construction, and plant operations, with extensive capability operating excavators, skid steers, and heavy combination trucks across a wide range of projects.

He has significant experience working within sensitive natural areas, delivering construction and maintenance works with a strong focus on minimising environmental impact, protecting surrounding vegetation, and maintaining safe, compliant access in environmentally constrained sites. His work includes earthworks, track and trail construction, erosion and sediment control, site rehabilitation support, laser levelling, and end-to-end project delivery from setup through to completion.

Dan is recognised for his practical problem-solving, reliability, and strong work ethic, consistently delivering high-quality outcomes in challenging terrain, remote locations, and environmentally sensitive environments.

YASMINE KERR

Project Co-ordinator
Yasmine joined the team in March 2026 in a Project Co-ordinator role, bringing experience in environmental project delivery, stakeholder engagement, compliance, and operational coordination. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management, supported by postgraduate research experience and strong analytical skills.

Her background includes delivery and coordination of large-scale environmental and bushfire mitigation programs across Central Queensland, including weed management, feral animal management, water quality monitoring, and Red Imported Fire Ant programs. Yasmine is experienced in project documentation control, work order management, procurement, budget tracking, reporting, risk assessments, and client communications, with strong knowledge of compliance standards and environmental legislation.

Yasmine is highly organised and detail-oriented, with strengths in stakeholder engagement, communication, team support, and project coordination, ensuring successful delivery of environmental programs and client outcomes.

DANIELLE KING

Office Manager

Danielle joined the team in January 2025 as Office Manager, bringing more than 20 years of experience across administration, payroll, accounts management, and business operations. With a strong background in financial systems, process improvement, and client relations, Danielle is known for her highly organised and solutions-focused approach.

Danielle’s professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail make her an integral part of the team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of office operations while supporting both staff and clients with clear communication and dependable service. Her warm, caring, and supportive nature helps foster a positive workplace culture, making her a valued point of support for both the team and clients alike.
